A note to the very small handful of people who read and occasionally even repost the website blog items and articles that I've been syndicating from my website, where I'm currently writing this, to a small clickable link on a Mastodon post or a somewhat more human-readable excerpt on Bluesky:
As of today I will no longer be syndicating my content to my current Mastodon and Bluesky accounts at @michaelkupietz.com@michaelkupietz.com on Mastodon and michaelkupietz.com.web.brid.gy on Bluesky. This will likely be the last post to those accounts.
The reason I have to retire those accounts is that they're controlled by the syndication service I was using, and I don't actually have full access to them myself. I'm turning off that service, so I can't use them at all.
But, as apparently a small handful of people do have an interest in occasionally seeing links to things I write delivered to them on there, I've set up new personal Mastodon and Bluesky accounts. I'll probably post links by hand to things I've written on the website to them, similar to how I until now tried to automatically syndicate things occasionally.
So, those of you reading, if you wish to continue following me on Mastodon or Bluesky, the new personal accounts are to follow are:

Bluesky: @michaelkupietz.bsky.social
I do not intend to get posting personally or conversing with people on those websites, as a very quick scroll during signup showed me that they're almost entirely full of run-of-the-mill toxic social media ordure and I see no productive reason to want to smear that sludge onto my mind.
So to whatever extent I used those new accounts at all, it's just going to be as a place to publicly post links to new website articles, as a convenience. If you want to keep in touch with me personally, for more than just occasional news about new articles on my website, Bluesky or Mastodon are not the way to do it.
As always, my website also does have an RSS feed of articles at https://michaelkupietz.com/feed, as well as h-feed markup so you can read on your favorite h-feed reader. You can get RSS feeds and h-feeds off the website's category and blog pages, too, I believe.
To the four or five of you who followed me thus far on those acounts, and the two people who occasionally reposted or gave likes, thanks, I'm glad to know I provided something you saw some sort of value in.
I'll probably say more later on why I'm ending the effort to syndicate my content. I may syndicate that as one last post to these old and now-unused accounts, or, I may just post that to the new accounts, in which case this present note will be the last post to those previous accounts.
Anyway, man, you really should just read my website, anyway. Subscribe to my RSS feed. Call me on the phone. Those social media echo chambers suck.
