The Man Who Fell To Earth

Cocaine-era David Bowie as an alien on earth to bring back water to his home planet. Sadly, much less interesting than that sounds. Oddly also starring Buck Henry and Rip Torn. This movie owes a hair too much debt to the post-French-New-Wave sort of filmmaking aesthetic that also made movies like Bonnie & Clyde much less watchable to me. Maybe it's just me. Some people love it, and I get that, but it wasn't really for me.
