In a Burtonesque hyperreal suburb full of one-dimensional suburban stereotypes, a new resident waiting for her husband to arrive with the kids has a brief and ill-conceived affair with her neighbor's teenage son while a stereotypically creepy ice cream man slowly kills off people who must not be very important, as few seem to notice or care that they're gone, or, in one case, that they're back after the movie showed them being murdered. Meanwhile an inexplicably sinister mover hovers around for no apparent reason.
